Terms of use

Last updated: 2 November 2026

1. Purpose

These terms govern the use of Atoll, a habit tracker published by Alan Crouau, an individual. By using the application or creating an account, you accept them.

2. The service and the beta

Atoll can be used for free without an account (local data, 2 habits). An account adds synchronisation between devices, and the full account (unlimited habits, photos, reminders, statistics, day/night…) is free during the beta.

Atoll is in closed beta: accounts are opened on invitation, features may change or be interrupted, and data may be reset if a technical migration requires it (we will warn you). The publisher gives no guarantee of availability. Keep a copy of what matters to you.

No paid offer exists today. If one is introduced, it will be announced well in advance, you will keep a free account without paying, and specific terms of sale will be published and accepted before any payment.

3. Account

Sign-in uses an e-mail link or code. You must give a valid address you control and keep your access safe. You must be at least 15 years old, or have the authorisation of your legal representative.

You can ask for your account to be deleted at any time by writing to contact@atoll.day; this deletes your data. The publisher may suspend an account in case of abuse or fraud.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to disrupt the service, attempt to access other users’ data, or use it unlawfully. Your notes and photos are private to you; you are responsible for what you store.

5. Intellectual property

The publisher keeps all rights on Atoll. You keep all rights on your content and grant the publisher only the right to store and synchronise it to provide the service. Third-party components keep their licences (e.g. OpenMoji, CC BY-SA 4.0).

6. Liability

The service is provided free of charge during the beta, “as is”. Within the limits of the law, the publisher is liable only for direct damage proven and caused by its fault, and is not liable for data loss resulting from your actions (e.g. clearing browser data without an account), for interruptions, or for third-party services. Nothing here limits the legal rights of consumers.

7. Personal data

The processing of personal data is described in the privacy policy.

8. Changes and applicable law

These terms may change; account holders will be informed of any significant change. French law applies. Contact us first to settle any dispute amicably; as a consumer you may also use the European online dispute resolution platform (ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr).
